Skoda Minotti, a national business advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Ken Haffey, CPA, CVA, CGMA, CFP, has earned the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation from the Exit Planning Institute (EPI).
Ken earned the CEPA designation after completing the Institute’s intensive four-day executive MBA-style CEPA program in Chicago. He joins an elite group of business advisors who have received this designation and are a part of EPI’s international community of CEPAs. The CEPA program is the most widely accepted and endorsed program in the world.
“Earning this coveted designation would not be possible without the support of our clients,” said Ken. “They have allowed me and my colleagues to serve as their trusted advisors in helping them build and deploy customized exit planning strategies. I hope to use the knowledge gained through the CEPA program to deliver greater value for clients in the years ahead.”
As part of its core service offering, Skoda Minotti’s Value Acceleration/Exit Planning Group Delivers on the Promise of preparing clients to exit their business on their own terms and likely with greater value. Skoda Minotti expertly guides business owners through the entire exit planning process. It now is one of the few firms offering Value Acceleration/Exit Planning services under the leadership of two CEPAs – Michael Trabert, CPA, CVA, CMAP, CEPA, CM&AA, and now Ken. This rare distinction means clients have access to the deeper knowledge and client service a specialized team can offer.
About the CEPA Program
The Certified Exit Planning advisor program was specifically design for business advisors who work closely with owners of privately held companies. Using an executive MBA-style format, the program is designed around a central methodology and uses a combination of lectures, group discussions, case studies and individual exercises to introduce participants to the concepts and to reinforce skills. The program is taught by EPI’s dedicated faculty of 15 instructors, who are all sought-after subject matter experts and authors. It involves approximately 100 hours of pre-course study, 30 hours of classroom instruction and successful completion of a three-hour proctored examination.
