Despite efforts by the current administration to repeal it, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) still must be dealt with by employers. The group health care market for employers with less than 50 covered employees is expensive, and employers of this size can find it difficult to obtain coverage. The Department of Labor has issued a proposed regulation which would allow small employers to join together to buy group coverage. This would provide a lower level of coverage than that required by the ACA (while still satisfying the ACA), in an attempt to make group coverage more affordable to small employers. Read more for details...
